Count feeding
Products blended and organised by the GRADOMATIC or LINEMASTER can be fed in different pack configurations. Houdijk has unique possibilities to bring the products in slug, stack or tray all based on counted loading.
SLUG IN TRAY
By means of the OVERHEAD PRODUCT FLIGHTBAR and the TRAYMASTER, a slug of counted products on edge is formed and loaded in the tray.
SLUG IN WRAPPER
The wrapping machine flightbar conveyor receives rows of products on edge from the GRADOMATIC/LINEMASTER.
DUAL LANE SLUG IN WRAPPER
For the forming of small slugs of products on edge, the wrapping machine flightbar infeed conveyor receives double rows of products on edge in the dual lane flightbar from the GRADOMATIC/LINEMASTER.
DUAL MODE SLUG IN TRAY/WRAPPER
By combining the OVERHEAD PRODUCT FLIGHTBAR and the TRAYMASTER, a slug of products on edge can either be fed directly to a wrapper or alternatively the products can be loaded in the tray before wrapping. It is also possible to use the same wrapper for both pack styles.
STACK IN TRAY
By means of the Houdijk PICK & PLACE UNIT the products are picked up row by row at the end of the GRADOMATIC/LINEMASTER and placed into waiting trays, positioned in the Houdijk TRAY FLIGHTBAR.
STACKS IN WRAPPER
By means of the Houdijk HVML stacking system the products are stacked into the chain of a wrapper, in the required count. Count change does not require a mechanical adjustment, but is achieved through the HMI.
ON EDGE PRODUCT IN CAVITY TRAY
At the end of the GRADOMATIC/LINEMASTER products are placed – row by row – directly into the defined cavities of trays, positioned in the Houdijk TRAY FLIGHTBAR.
PICK & PLACE UNIT
The Houdijk PICK & PLACE UNIT is a free programmable servo driven unit, picking up complete product row(s) by means of vacuum and placing them in the required location of a tray or wrapper.
TRAY FLIGHTBAR
Trays arriving from the tray denester on the TRAY BUFFER CONVEYOR are taken over by the servo driven TRAY FLIGHTBAR. The TRAY FLIGHTBAR introduces the trays at required pitch to the product loading position.
