Volumetric loading
The Houdijk volumetric slug loaders ('length measuring feeders') are of modern design and load slugs of biscuits standing on edge into the running flightbar of any make packaging machine. Suitable for biscuits and crackers, with round, oval, square and rectangular shape.
HOUDIJK SLUG LOADER (HSL) featuring
- Medium capacity, to the meet required line capacity and ability of wrapping machine, output per channel up to 25 slugs/minute, subject to the characteristics of the product

CONTINUOUS MOTION LOADER (CML) featuring
- High capacities of up to 200 slugs/minute
- Flexible system for product size and slug length change
- High efficiency and simple handling concept
- Flexible slug count, e.g. controlled by the checkweigher
- Product flow on normal operation level
- Servo driven to allow easy change over
- Slug forming is done across all channels (blending) to ensure an accurate nominal weight per slug
- Up to 40 products per slug
- Product thickness 4 - 15 mm

The HSL and CML systems can be connected to any packaging machine with a 90° flightbar conveyor infeed. These servo driven systems can automatically synchronize to the speed of the packaging machine. Actual running speed is controlled by the packaging machine and can be adjusted continuously. Both systems feature a small footprint.
